Auropexy

Auropexy (auro = ear, pexy = lift) is the term applied to surgery to change the position of an ear, usually to lift it, often because the two sides do not match.  A high-set ear is generally preferred to an ear which sits low on the side of the hear.  An ear which tilts back is generally preferred to an ear which is upright.

Auropexy can be undertaken alone, or sometimes at the same time as surgery to set or pin back the ear.
